Drop Cloth Decorative Cushion

Hi Everybody!

Mr. M. and I were taking what we like to call a Bumming Around Day a couple of weeks ago. That's where we head into Edmonton with no purpose except to spontaneously stop wherever we get the notion, maybe have a Tim's, you get the idea.
We don't necessarily buy anything. We just hang out.
Once in awhile we all need a day with no goals in mind, yes?

This time the car took us to Chapters...

Shoebox Labels

Organize Your Craft Room Inexpensively With Clear Shoeboxes

Hi There Everybody!

Woohoo, the sun is out! That's a big deal if any of you have
been experiencing one of the gloomiest winters ever, as we have up here in
Central Alberta. Right now though, we are in our second week of brilliant sunshine
and my little girlies couldn't be happier! Check out their snowball feet.

Heart Shaped Trinket Box

From a Chocolate Box to a Jewellery Box

Mr. M. brought this box of chocolates
home the day before Valentine's day.
It has little compartments inside. I thought if I dressed it up
it might make a pretty box to keep some jewellery in.

I think he knew I'd want to do that, so this post is really his idea.

Bead of My Heart Valentine's Art

Create Valentine's Art With Beads or Old Necklaces

Hi Everyone,

I have three large candle jars full of beads and old necklaces. Some of them were
given to me by my grandma on my mom's side. When I had sleep-overs at Grandma's,
we would sit on the edge of her bed and rummage through her jewellery box
and if one of her necklaces was broken or she no longer used it, she gave it to me.
I thought that was just the greatest thing ever.

Create a Valentine's Collage

Create Valentine's Art From Paper You Make

Hi Everyone,

I love to make my own papers for collage, and thought I would share with you this fun and easy way to make some for yourself, and use them to create some pretty Valentine's art.
I repurposed an old frame that had an elephant print in it.
It was time to say Bye-Bye to Mr. Elephant and Hello to some Heart Art!

Displaying Artwork With A Cereal Box

Hey Everybody,

I have a super-fast and easy tutorial to show you today.

Our local art society displays our paintings in the businesses around town on a rotational basis. Hanging very small pieces can be challenging, because we don't want to mess up the walls with nails any more than we have to. My latest series is comprised of twelve canvasses ranging from 6"X 6" to 8"X 8", so I have been trying to figure out a way to hang them in each of their groups on only one nail. A fellow artist in the club came up with this idea (Thanks Carol!), and I thought I would share it with you.

What's that? Of course you use a cereal box!

FIVE MINUTE FESTIVE TISSUE BOX COVER

Hi Everybody,

Hope all of you had a good Christmas, full of fun, family, and too much food!

While I was wrapping the last of the gifts on Christmas Eve (Mrs. Last-Minute!), I just happened to glance over at my boring tissue box on the kitchen counter.

Cookie Cutter Christmas Tree Ornaments

Blingy Tree Ornaments From Cookie Cutters

Hi everybody!

Got a weather report for you! Winter has hit Alberta with a vengeance. We made it to the

top of the list for the Coldest Place in the World this Thursday, registering in at minus 40 degrees! Brrrrr! Here's a photo of our deck three days ago.

Why yes, I certainly did shovel all that lovely snow!

Crazy! I'm soooo glad I put the outdoor lights up at the end of October!
But enough of that! Now on to the post!

Victorian Fan Christmas Ornaments

I used to love crafting with my kids! Of course they moved out long ago,
but every time Christmas rolls around I get the itch to craft.
